This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

Hi, all. I am still looking to hire someone to customize my journal layout. Specifically, I request someone with expertise in CSS and an understanding of good design principles. Pay is $25/hr minimum. For anyone interested, either leave a comment below or send me a message.
In other news, any artwork that I share will be few and far between. As a researcher and university instructor finishing my dissertation and getting married next month (and then venturing off to a two-week tropical honeymoon!), my plate is full. Much of my time spent illustrating has been in life drawing and scenes from daily life-- with, of course, some fantasy art mixed in.
I have also accepted a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor at the University of Akron this upcoming fall. I am thrilled to join a wonderful community of fantastic, brilliant professors and to research and teach in the areas I love.
Knowing me, you should know that while I am always interested in the possibility for collaboration or at least networking with fellow artistis and scholars, that I appreciate notes and feedback that are written well and thoughtful, as well as being generally free of grammatical errors and emoticons that aren't easily discernable.
Heya! I just wanted to ask if you made you journal skin yourself? It's so freggin beautiful, and I also want something similar, but have no idea how to make one. I hope I'm not an asshole for asking for help?
Hi Viccolatte! I'm just experimenting at the moment. I'm working from this style that I found ([link]). I think this user did a great job. I am new to editing the CSS on deviantart, so I am not sure how helpful I'd be, but I'd be glad to make a replica for you. I'm mostly concentrating on putting together a header and keeping the rest relatively untouched.
Thinking about making little gallery icons too- have you done that?
